Prince Dorgon is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Jyushinta) of 2011 South Korean action film War of the Arrows (also known as Arrow: The Ultimate Weapon).

He was played by Park Ki-woong who played Shunji Kimura.

Biography[]

He is the Qing Prince who invaded Korea along with his uncle and general Jyushinta, who clearly holds him in high regard. He was a cruel and dangerous prince who raped Korean women as slaves and massacred their loved ones. Dorgon is first seen after the first assault, having a talk with his uncle Jyushinta and tells him to join him as fast as he can. Jyushinta accepts and Dorgon leaves with some soldiers to go back to Mandchuria.

Each night, a different woman is given to him by the The Manchu Commander. One night, he chose Choi Ja-in, a recently married woman whose wedding was inputed by the attack which killed her parents-in-laws. The men tried off her clothes, Ja-in speak Manchu from her late father who surprised and impressed Dorgon who begun to lust over her. change his mind. After Jae-in calls him out on him proclaiming himself to be noble while mistreating his prisoners and raping the female captives, Dorgon shows him his tiger skin, a gift from Jyushinta, which protects him from extreme temperatures. He says that at first, the skin is stiff, but after it's tanned, it becomes supple and pleasant, making an analogy with Jae-in. He then condemns her to stay up all night until she begs for mercy.

The next night, Jae-in gives up and Dorgon gives her food. Jae-in tried to kill Dorgon who tried to raped her before she was saved by her brother Choi Nam-yi and her husband Kim Seo-goon and their friends, Nam-yi holding Dorgon as hostage after pouring some oil to him in front of the guards, asking his sister and brother in law to escape along with his friends. The sun rises and Dorgon, originally afraid, laughs and says to Nam-yi as the fire next to them is almost extinguished. Nam-yi immediately wounds him to the throat, takes an iron and ignites Dorgon with it, who is burned alive.
