Supergator is a bio-engineered monster from the SyFy TV movie Supergator, serving as the main antagonist. It appeared again in Dinocroc vs Supergator. In this film, Supergator serves as one of the two main antagonists of the film, the other being its archenemy, Dinocroc. In its first appearance, it closely resembles Dinocroc. However, its appearance changed drastically for Dinocroc vs Supergator, looking pretty much just like an alligator with spikes.

Supergator[]
Supergator was created in a secret bio-engineering research center using DNA from Phobosuchus riograndensis (now Deinosuchus riograndensis). It escaped and went on a rampage through a Hawaiian jungle, killing anyone it saw before finding its way into a local resort. A nearby scientist and hunter tried to fight Supergator off with heavy firearms, eventually killing it by luring atop a fake volcano and setting off an explosion.
Dinocroc vs Supergator[]
Supergator was created in a secret bio-engineering research center by exposing an alligator to experimental chemicals along with a crocodile (Dinocroc). After growing immune to sedatives, it escaped and went on a rampage through the Hawaiian jungle parallel to Dinocroc. Eventually it entered a city, killing many before being led into a fight with its mutated kin. The two fought viciously, but Dinocroc proved stronger, killing Supergator by tearing up its underbelly.
Personality[]
Supergator is increasingly aggressive throughout its appearances. Its dangerous nature is due to its predatory instincts, its bio-engineering, and its confusion on its locations. It either is completely fearless or has little reference to dangers as it never backs-down from even apparent dangers. It is shown to be very territorial and protective, as demonstrated once it encounters the Dinocroc. While bloodthirsty and carnivorous, Supergator seems to mostly be acting out of basic hunting instincts and only goes after those it naturally encounters. It is less concerned with killing than basic survival and the laws primal dominance.

Trivia[]
- Its vocal sound effects were provided by Jared Neal.
- Supergator was originally pitched as Dinocroc 2, but the SyFy channel said that sequels didn't do well. Still wanting to make the film, its creator renamed it to Supergator and changed only a few plot details. This would explain why Supergator's original model looks so much like Dinocroc.
