Evil Rick is the secondary antagonist of the Rick and Morty Season 1 episode "Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind". He has also appeared in the cold open of the Season 7 episode "Unmortricken".
He was the Rick of Evil Morty who was ultimately brainwashed and turned into a puppet once his grandson had enough of his actions and decided to leave the Central Finite Curve. Together they travelled to several universes, killing hundreds of Ricks and kidnapping their Morties, before Evil Rick was ultimately killed while Evil Morty escaped unpunished.

Evil Rick and Morty had the same dynamic as every other version of the duo, going on adventures where the latter ended up humiliated. After one of their many adventures, during which he had to "go up an ass", Evil Morty got into an intense argument with his Rick, who challenged him to follow through on his threat of leaving him. Deciding to actually do it, Evil Morty backed down and offered Rick a drink. He then went to his room to finish working on his mind-controlling device while his Rick got drunk. When it was finished, Evil Morty went back to the garage, where he incapacitated his intoxicated Rick before assimilating him into a cyborg that he would control with a device, which he hide beneath an eyepatch.
Now able to control his Rick, Evil Morty went to the Citadel and erased his profile from the Morty Directory, presumably to cover his tracks. Following this, the due would start killing Ricks and kidnapping their Morties across the multiverse, during which Evil Rick would try to kill himself numerous times.
Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind[]
To frame him for his crimes, Evil Morty hacks C-137 Rick's portal gun and traveled to the universes where he killed Ricks and kidnapped Morties so the Council of Ricks would go after him. When C-137 Rick and Morty traced where the signal was coming from, the two set off to Evil Rick's base. There, Evil Rick kidnaps Rick C-137 and prepares to kill him, while mocking him about caring for his Morty.
Meanwhile, Rick C-137's Morty persuades the imprisoned Mortys to rise up against Evil Rick. Together, they all bombard Evil Rick's lair and start to trample Evil Rick to death, while he demands them to kill him so he could be freed from Evil Morty's control. The Council of Ricks then came to investigate and take the Rick-less Mortys to the Citadel, where they would be safe. After close investigation, the Council discovered that Evil Rick was a robotic puppet being controlled by someone else remotely, Evil Morty.
