Onigen is the most powerful demon who is the mother of Saya and the main antagonist of the 2009 horror-action film Blood: The Last Vampire, the remake of the 2000 anime film of the same name.
Her powers and abilities include: immense demonic powers, shapeshifting, near invincibility, commanding a horde of demons and creatures of darkness and sword combat. She enjoys taking the form of a human to conceal her true and terrible form. She also appears to have the power to enter alternate realities, as shown when she and Saya travel to the past into Saya's childhood in their final confrontation.
In the film, a hotel staff member steps on a roach in front of Onigen which angers her. With a gesture of her hand, she explodes the hotel employee's head.
