They exchanged their goods at Doctor Doom's American Castle. However, they had been tracked by Silver Sable, leader of the Wild Pack, and her new partner, private investigator Dominic Fortune.
Albasini's men started a shootout and Albasini himself tried to activate the sleeper agents, but Sable shot him through the head, killing him and stopping him in time—although this gave Vadas a chance to escape.
