November Annabella "Nova" Terra, also known as Agent X41822N is a female terran ghost serving as one of the Dominion's top assassins and a major antagonist in the real time strategy game StarCraft II, serving as the secondary antagonist in the campaigns Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Born into the Terra family, Nova spent her lifetime knowing her empathetic emotions about Terran Confederacy's fall. Despite falling into the Ghost Program, she was able to read the minds about the past and the present realizing that her father prevented her from using her psychic powers.
Wings of Liberty[]
After months of Ghost training, Nova was hired by the Dominion to hunt down Raynor's Raiders and the Spectre Rogue Society. Disregarded by Tosh's acceptance, Nova was engrossed with Jim Raynor because the Spectres wanted to free the prisoners in New Folsom. But if Raynor makes a decision with her, she'll lead a strike force against Tosh's specters and she would teach Raynor how to train his own ghosts as a reward.
Heart of the Swarm[]
In 2506, after the Xel'naga artifact deinfested Sarah Kerrigan, Nova led an attack force to search for her. Disgusted by Raynor's distress, he managed to defend Sarah from being killed, but her fate would be unknown.
Nova Covert Ops[]
Many years after the War Against Amon, Nova's role has changed as a hero. The Dominion sent her to work with the Defenders of Man, who were not yet known to be working against the Dominion. Nova and her partner, Stone, another ghost, were assigned by the Defenders to plant devices on Antiga Prime, which they discovered too late were psi emitters. Nova was soon captured by the Defenders and their leader, Carolina Davis, ordered her mind be wiped, but Nova secretly planted a message to alert her to her situation afterwards. After the mind wipe, Nova escaped from the Defenders of Man and rejoined the Dominion. Matt Horner informed her that she was reported missing for months and was even wanted for treason against the Dominion for her unwitting work with the Defenders. Nova reaffirmed her loyalty when she and her Covert Ops Crew protected a Dominion base from a Feral Zerg hive cluster which were wiped out by Defenders ships in their efforts to present Valerian in a negative light to his people. Emperor Valerian Mengsk then sends Nova to find out more about the Defenders by infiltrating a hideout on Tarsonis. There, she discovered that the Defenders were using the Psi Emitters to lure the Feral Zerg onto defenseless planets so they'll be painted as heroes and show that Valerian was weak in his rule. She also found out that their next target was Tyrador IX and swore to stop their actions. The planet was already overrun by the zerg and to make matters worse, the Protoss Tal'Darim Death Fleet came into the conflict, who were there to eradicate the Defenders. Their attacks would destroy civilians along with the Defenders if they were successful, so Nova was forced to route the Death Fleet instead of the Zerg or Defenders, so the Defenders were able to secure credit from the people for removing the Zerg threat from Tyrador. After this, Alarak boarded Nova's ship, the Griffin, and explained he wanted vengeance on the Defenders for attacking a remote Tal'Darim outpost and running away before retaliation could commence. In exchange for being led to the Defenders, Alarak would lead Nova to terrazine to undo her memory wipe, which Nova accepted.
