|“||That's not Groudon. It's evil! It's pure evil!||„|
|~ Butler, lamenting the false Groudon he created|
False Groudon is the final antagonist in the sixth Pokémon film, Jirachi: Wish Maker.
After Butler was kicked out of Team Magma after failing to create a Groudon from a fossilized remnant, in order to impress Maxie enough to rejoin, he used Jirachi's power from the Millennium Comet to bring the fossil back to life. However, instead of Groudon itself, an evil monster resembling Groudon came to life. It destroyed plants and ate people and Pokémon by absorbing them into itself through its tentacles. It went completely berserk and consumed everything in its path, but met its end when Jirachi used Doom Desire to obliterate the clone and free the consumed Pokémon and people. Once it was defeated by Jirachi, everything went back to normal.
False Groudon resembled the real Groudon, but was much more demonic in appearance. It had lifeless yellow eyes, goopy teeth, and when it roared, a fiery, lava-like pattern appears on its underside. Its spikes and claws can transform into blueish-green tentacles that it uses to consume other living beings. According to Butler, it was overall an incarnation of absolute, pure evil.
