The Falcon is the second antagonist Anansi encountered in the folk story "Anansi and His Sons".
After Anansi was freed by his four sons, a falcon was soaring into the air. It grabbed Anansi with its beak, which made the six sons get surprised about their father in danger. The fifth son threw a stone when the falcon is flying away. The sixth son is used as a cushion to save Anansi from falling down. The falcon is never seen after that.
- In the BBC adaptation, the falcon is replaced by an eagle.
