Professor Edward Alcott is the main antagonist in the 2000 film Loser.

Alcott is a shady and sardonic college literature professor who is having a secret affair with Dora, the film's deuteragonist. He ignores and emotionally abuses her most of the time. After word of his affair gets out, he makes a deal with Paul's party animal roommates to give them A's in exchange for them keeping their mouths shut. In the end, he is sent to prison for having an affair with a minor, even though Dora is actually 18.
