Videogame

Scrooge is first seen spying on the children while they look out the window at Herpolsheimer's, much to his disgust. Later, after stealing the tickets, he gets some of his minions to assist him in prevent the children from getting their tickets back. However, with the help of the Hero Boy, the children were able to retrieve their tickets.

The Hero Boy has a food fight with Scrooge and some of his friends in the dining car while trying to retrieve Know-It-All's ticket. Scrooge fights the Hero Boy again while he was trying to apply the emergency brake for Billy.

After all the tickets were retrieved, Scrooge becomes angry and steals the Hero Girl's ticket, which results in her being put in charge of driving the train. However, the Hero Boy finds the ticket and, with the help of the Hobo, gets to the locomotive by skiing down the mountain.

Later, the Hero Boy and the Hero Girl encounter the Scrooge puppet one more time while trying to return to the passenger cars. He has become very large and gained an opening in his chest that shows his heart. The Hero Boy tries telling him that Christmas is not about toys, but he does not listen, so the Hero Boy, with encouragement from the other children, defeats him by throwing snowballs at his heart.

Quotes

Herpolsheimer's, Herpolsheimer's, eh, neh, neh. Blah! I can't stand children! They're the only ones silly enough to believe in Santa! It's toys that make Christmas fun, not Santa! Well, they certainly won't believe in Santa if they never reach the North Pole. And they won't reach the North Pole if they don't have tickets for the Polar Express. Heh, heh, heh. And they'll never find these tickets before the Conductor throws them off the train! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
~ The Ebenezer Scrooge Puppet plotting to steal the children's tickets.
You'll have to get past my puppets if you want that ticket!
~ The Ebenezer Scrooge Puppet to the Hero Boy.
I'm afraid he's gonna be left behind, all alone on Christmas Eve! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! You're gonna have to get past me if you want to pull this emergency brake. And I don't believe that you can do it! Do you? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
~ The Ebenezer Scrooge Puppet planning to stop the Hero Boy from saving Billy.
Blasted boy, messing up my plans! Who does he think he is, pushing us toys around like that!?! But I still got a trick up my sleeve. Let's see what happens to the girl when she realizes that she's lost her ticket! Ha, ha, ha, ha! They'll never find it here!
~ The Ebenezer Scrooge Puppet stealing the Hero Girl's ticket.
So, you want to go to the North Pole, do you? Well, to get there, you'll have to get past me! And I don't believe you can do it! Ha, ha, ha! (Hero Boy: You're just a bitter old toy! Christmas isn't about toys. It's about giving and sharing.) Ha! There's no Christmas without toys! Christmas cannot happen without me! (Hero Boy: We'll just see about that!)
~ The Ebenezer Scrooge Puppet after he grows into a giant.
Let's see how you take this!
