Destane is a major antagonist in Disney's Aladdin television series.
History[]
Destane was known for being an infamous sorcerer and the ruler of the Land of The Black Sand. He was feared by many other sorcerers (even Jafar) due to being particularly evil and brutal in nature. Some time before the events of the series he took in the young orphan Mozenrath as his apprentice and adoptive son, Destane trained Mozenrath in sorcery and the two began to share a bond. However, this was later revealed to be an act put on by Mozenrath who ended up murdering his adoptive father, overthrowing him and turning him into one of his zombie like henchmen (Mamluks). Throughout the series Mozenrath is seen constantly abusing and belittling his former master showing him no appreciation or regard, seeing him as nothing more than a brainless tool like his other henchmen.
Destane's fate is unclear although since Mozenrath has presumably died Destane and the other mamluks have been presumed deceased.
Personality[]
Previously, Destane's personality was implied to be very brutal and destructive. However, he apparently did have some compassion since he took in the young Mozenrath of whom he eventually shared a bond with. After Mozenrath transformed him into a Mamluk Destane became a mindless goon just like the other Mamluks.
Appearance[]
Destane's original appearance was unseen. However after his transformation, Destane looked exactly like the other Mamluks with sickly colored skin and tattered clothing making him resemble a stereotypical peasant.
