Story[]

In 1999 A.D. April, a nation with the status of an emerging market named Billberk became a global sensation. Once an undeveloped country, Billberk managed to become an advanced country through capitalism and economic support from its fellow advanced nations. However, behind Billberk's sudden rise to prosperity was huge arms sale. Also Billberk's societal and political stability was extremely fragile due to the fact public mindsets and structural foundation was unable to keep up with the fast advancement of development unfolding in Billberk.

The major contributor to Billberk's economic wealth was D.I.C. (Dio International Corporation): an international mega-conglomerate which fabricated weapons and armaments, selling them to various governemnts and strongly benefitting for wars all over the globe. Needless to say D.I.C. was the backbone of Billberk's wealth and prosperity. After an election the renowned pacifist Eddie Axel became the president of the newfound nation Billberk, instituted various armament reduction policies in the country in order to expand and boost other branches of societal departments needed to enhance the lives of Billberk people.

Then starting from a month after Axel administration was established, a series of big events occurred: The chairman of D.I.C. died under 'mysterious circumstance' and a new D.I.C. president named Nakatomi who was once a CEO of Dai Industries took over the corporation leadership. The new chairman of D.I.C. was not happy with Axel's pacifist policy and vehemently opposed the new Axel administration.

Then on July 1999 A.D. at dawn, a large force of D.I.C. private army allied with the disgruntled military faction of Billberk staged a coup d'état on Billberk, overwhelming the nation with its troops to establish a new government. With the country sieged, Nakatomi, head of D.I.C., makes a public proclamation, giving all countries in the world 72 hours to recognize his authority over Billberk or face retaliation by D.I.C.'s Ultimate Weapon, after which he nukes an entire city to provide grounds for his threat. Once a role model for all undeveloped states, the fate of Billberk is now at crossroads.

Given the gravity of the situation, the United Nations deploy the four soldiers of the Second Squad, with the mission of infiltrate Billberk, liberate it from D.I.C.'s forces and apprehend Nakatomi.

D.I.C. possesses a vast arsenal of weapons of mass destruction as well as it's own army of corporate infantrymen. It is headed by President Nakatomi, a rich businessman, however the one truly controlling the corporation is a man known as General Snake, a madman who seeks to become the absolute dominator.
