Chorazos Cult

The Chorazos Cult (erronously called the "Choronzon Cult") is a religious sect dedicated to the worship of one of the Outer Gods known as Yog-Sothoth, and they are one of the many antagonistic groups in the Cthulhu Mythos genre by author H. P. Lovecraft.

This enigmatic but extremely religious cult was founded in the mountains of Romania in the late 16th century, but later moved to England and then Scotland. The cult developed an unwholesome reputation and was eventually disbanded by locals.

The cult returned in modern times, at least superficially based in the United States and attempting to awaken Yog-Sothoth.

Trivia

The name of this fanatic cult suggests an allusion to Choronzon.
