Celaeno is one of the villains of the book and 1982 fantasy movie, The Last Unicorn. She was played by Keenan Wynn.

A truly real creature and immortal like the heroine, The Unicorn/Lady Amalthea, who was seized and captured by Mommy Fortuna asleep. Schmendrick, hero and magician, points out to The Unicorn of the risks of keeping a creature like Celaeno confined. Celaeno watches The Unicorn and other characters and tries to get out of her prison but Mommy Fortuna manages to ensure her jail by using her magic.

Then afterward, Mommy Fortuna talks and hangs out with The Unicorn and lets her know that Celaeno was just as simple to steal like The Unicorn. She also mentions that Celaeno will destroy her sooner or later but says her so-called immortality is is that Celaeno will always know that Mommy Fortuna caught and imprisoned her. The Unicorn says to her to let her go although Mommy Fortuna ignores her. Then later as The Unicorn and Schmendrick free the animals from their prison, Celaeno says to The Unicorn to set her free set her free we are sisters you and I and sure enough The Unicron does so and Celaeno freed attempts to kill The Unicorn but fails.

Then Mommy Fortuna laughs and says "not alone, I helped you!" and then Celaeno strikes and destroys Mommy Fortuna. Celaeno kills Rukh soon after and The Unicorn warns Schmendrick not to run because running attracts attention and Celaeno flys away. Later The Unicorn/Lady Amalthea dreams about Celaeno.
