There is only one Demons category.[]
Hello and attention everyone. Today, I've found and detected a little problem: there's an unofficial Demons category and I recommand that we gotta rename the current "Demon" category to "Demons" & get rid of the other one immediately (as in now). Slight Problem..[]
the term "demon" can mean any monster with some degree of supernatural power.. which means this category is hard to monitor.. the original meaning (fallen angel) would be too limited since modern culture has come to see demons are more fantastical beings (though theology still plays some role).. the problem is almost any powerful Monster or Magic user can also be considered a Demon by today's definition of the term. Categorising[]
Hello ghouls, I have decided this category page be also put under the categories of dark fantasy, horror and satanism. The first two categories are because demons are malevolent supernatural beings, and have been placed there along with zombies, vampires and werewolves, other supernatural monsters (although zombies are not under dark fantasy as they can exist in science fiction also). Satanism is also relevant, as the majority of demons, are minions of Satan in fiction. RedWizard98 (talk) 00:47, October 26, 2018 (UTC)
Demons are malevolent yes but not exclusive to Horror or Dark Fantasy, sure often those mediums have them but so do plenty of other mediums. Also not all Demons are automatically going under Satanism, often they serve under a supreme overlord but don't try to always have others worship Satan in fact many just want to obtain power for themselves or just get souls. Perhaps not satanism, but the vast majority of demons, if not all appear in works of fantasy and horror, as demons are supernatural by nature. RedWizard98 (talk) 01:17, October 26, 2018 (UTC)
