“ | You gentlemen have reaped the extraordinary financial and political benefits of developing weapons with the sole purpose of annihilating the Earth. Your fortunes depend on your ability to concoct new ways of exterminating mankind, and, luckily, the powers that be have been behind you so far. However, there are those out there more interested in developing stronger international bonds in the hopes that it will precipitate peace. These people are the aberrations in a culture of war we in this room wish to propagate. So we must fuel the fires of war now, gentlemen! | „ |

Mongers are villains who promote specific activities, situations, or feelings that can be undesirable, infelicitous, and discreditable to the public. Whether it be through fear, hate, or conflict, they peddle it to the best effect to get what they want.
There are many types of mongers found in fiction, but arguably the three most common types are:
- Warmongers: People who purposely propagate war in its various forms, whether to advance some kind of sinister agenda or simply for the love of warfare and violence. Many warmongers tend to be warlords of some kind. Weapons dealers can qualify as well if they sell weapons to warring factions of some kind. Good examples include Erich Ludendorff (who believes war gives mankind purpose), The Major (who simply enjoys war) and Ares (the literal god of war).
- Fearmongers: Someone who goes out of their way to instill fear into others. Usually they are entities or individuals who exist to make people afraid. Often fearmongering is also a tactic used by tyrannical rulers or oppressive governments in order to keep populations in check. Some fearmongers are also xenophobes who use fear and prejudice to make others dislike a particular group/race. Good examples of fearmongers include Scarecrow (who uses his fear gas to make others endure their worse fears), Gaston (who used the town folk's fear of the unknown to get them to believe the Beast was a monster) and Betelgeuse (who simply enjoys making others afraid).
- Hatemongers: Much like fearmongers, except they go out of their way to spread hate or bring out hatred in others. This is a tactic often used by hate groups (such as the Nazi Party or the Ku Klux Klan) in order to spread their hateful views. Good examples include Shadowy Figure (who deliberately tries to make make K.O. frustrated and hateful so that he will unleash T.K.O.), The Dazzlings (who feed off of hatred and conflict) and the Hotshot TV Producer (who spread hateful rumors about Miku Izayoi in order to ruin her life, also unintentionally causing her to hate men in general).
