Mobsters are, as the name implies, villains introduced in criminal organizations; they can be Irish, Jewish, French, Greek, Eastern European, or Italian-American Families, rich Latin American drug cartels, Japanese Yakuzas, or Chinese Triads. Unlike gangs, mobsters tend to be much higher social class (obviously benefited from drug trafficking, smuggling, etc) and are much more organized and skilled in planning crimes.

Many of them have certain contacts with politicians and important people, and they are usually very difficult to arrest because of the power that many have.
