Godzilla is definitely a representation of the wrath of nature. The theme is man versus nature and Godzilla is certainly the nature side of it. You can't win that fight. Nature's always going to win and that's what the subtext of our movie is about. He's the punishment we deserve.
~ Gareth Edwards stating that Godzilla is a "representation of the wrath of nature"

A Force of Nature is a villain who is treated akin to a force rather than a distinct personality. Often beings of unimaginable power, they embody raw and often primordial power. They are often cataclysmic in nature, but do not always have to be. Milder examples of this kind of antagonist would be entities that manifest as clouds, mist, or other weather phenomena / natural disaster or are talked about as if they were such.

However, do not mistake them for real-life natural disasters and/or phenomena (such as storms, earthquakes, etc); all beings listed here show at least some form of basic intelligence which is vital for them to qualify as villains in the first place.
