Characters that have many different roles and or traits due to Inconsistent Continuities—sometimes Contradictory—often in standalone episodes. They may play many roles, often at a whim, they may be minor crooks in one episode only to be a completely different type of criminal in the next—this is very common in cartoons and comic books, where villains often play any and all roles a writer may wish at the time. Most of the Looney Tunes shorts and characters fit this category.

Another type of Inconsistent Continuity can be found in the various cutscenes of Family Guy, where things are played strictly for momentary jokes. There is no way all the characters' traits, characteristics, and roles depicted in ALL those cutscenes form any sort of consistent continuity in the franchise's over-all canon, sometimes even within the same episode.

Important Notice: when this category is added to an article please refrain from adding role specific categories as the character, via having this category on their article, is a recognized "Jack of All Trades" and thus has many roles. This will help us keep categories to a reasonable level on characters with extensive shifts in skill, employment (legal or otherwise) and basic role in a story / setting.

Categories which remain should be definitive traits of the character's baseline—what they are like in all iterations—what DEFINES them.
