No one escapes Blacque Jacque Shellaque!
~ Blacque Jacque Shellaque's catchphrase.

Blacque Jacque Shellaque is a fictional character from Looney Tunes and in The Looney Tunes Show (2011-2013), he is the tertiary antagonist turned anti-hero of the series. He makes cameos every once in a while.

Blacque Jacque Shellaque is a hunter who has similarities and is a cousin to Yosemite Sam. He has a big nose and has a black moustache with a brown stubble. He wears a red winter cap with black bushy eyebrows and black eyes. He has low intelligence and he prefers force over strategy when fighting. Blacque is an obscure character from The Looney Tunes but still has many fans around the world.

Looney Tunes

Blacque Jacque Shellaque first appeared in 1959 in the short Bonanza Bunny, which takes place in the middle of the Klondike gold rush, Shellaque makes an attempt to steal Bug's bag of gold (Which is bright yellow paint painted on rocks, according to Bugs Bunny) through card cheating, out and out threats, and trickery, but Bugs has always outsmarted Blacque and defeats him using gunpowder and a match, causing an explosion. Shellaque appeared in many other Looney Tune's after that and once did a cameo as a french soldier in Pepe le Lew's cartoon in Little Beau Pepe.

The Looney Tunes Show (2011-2013)

Blacque Jacque Shellaque appears in Ridiculous Journey in the second season of the Looney Tunes Show. He is a hunter who wants to presumably kidnap and kill Tweety Bird, Sylvester, and Tasmanian Devil. After failing numerous times with weapons such as sniper rifles and plane guns, he finally kidnaps them by latching a net onto them. There, he went to Granny and Bugs Bunny to give them to (As in the show, Sylvester and Tweety are Granny's pets, while the Tasmanian Devil is Bug's pet). He was sent by Yosemite Sam and in return, Shellaque got a mechanical bull. But since he was sent by Yosemite, he is confirmed an antagonist.

Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time

Blacque Jaque Shellaque appears as a minion during the Pirate Years and the 1930s levels in the video game Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time.

  • In Ridiculous Journey, it was confirmed by Yosemite that Shellaque was French-Canadian.
  • In It's a Handbag, Shellaque was seen in the criminal notebook.
  • The way Shellaque speaks is similar to the French Taunter in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
