Blackheart (AKA: Legion) is the main antagonist of the 2007 Marvel movie Ghost Rider. He is the malicious, demonic son of Mephisto that wanted to destroy Earth by spreading the hell over the world. He is the arch-nemesis of Johnny Blaze, aka the Ghost Rider.
He was portrayed by actor Wes Bentley, who also played Thomas Barclay and Seneca Crane.
Physical Appearance
Throughout the film, Blackheart has some many more of a human appearance. He has pale white skin, and is wearing all black. In his satanic Legion form Blackheart's skin becomes ebony black, eyes turn red and gains razor sharp teeth, and horns on his head.
In Ghost Rider (2007)
He is the son of Mephistopheles. He's been trying to take over his father because he believes that his father is weak and old. He came to Earth to find the Contract of San Vanganza, so he can absorb all the 1000 lost souls to make him more powerful. He teams up with three other demons, named Gressil (Demon of Earth), Abigor (Demon of Wind), and Wallow (Demon of Water).
First Battle with Blaze
One by one the demon fall by Ghost Rider. After Abigor was killed, Blackheart found out the weakness of Ghost Rider: Roxanne, his love interest. After Blackheart kidnapped Roxanne, he made a deal with Ghost Rider that if he find the Contract of San Venganza and bring it to San Venganza, he might spare Roxanne's life. After Ghost Rider found the contract, Blackheart kept his end of the deal and released Roxanne, however doing so left Blackheart vulnerable.
Becoming Legion
Blackheart manages to knockout Ghost Rider, giving him enough time to absorb all the lost souls. After doing so his appearance changed slightly and changed his name to Legion. Because he had all the souls he was more powerful, but it left him vulnerable to the Penance Stare. Ghost Rider manages to use the Penance Stare on Legion, causing him to see all the pain and suffering the thousands of souls cause. This caused him to lose all of his powers and presumably killed Blackheart.
